A full-size, heavy-duty pickup, the Ford F-250 is offered in five well-equipped trim levels--XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum; and three cab styles--regular, SuperCab, and crew-cab. Customers can also choose between bed lengths of 6.75 and 8 feet,

Ford F-250 Standard and Available Features

The Ford F-250 includes standard equipment such as manual telescoping towing mirrors, a removable locking tailgate (with tailgate lift assist) a 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver (with 2-inch insert), front tow hooks, automatic headlights, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.

Standard safety features include a collision alert system, stability and traction control, hill-start assist, and trailer sway control.

There are four higher trims above the base XL model that delivers premium features such as a trailer camera system, heavy-duty tow pack, fifth-wheel/gooseneck hitch prep package, dual-zone automatic climate control, an electronic shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system, Ford's Sync 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, and lots more.

Advanced driver assistance features can also be added. These include a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, collision warning with brake support, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Ford F-250 Engine and Specs

As you might expect from a truck of this size, the new 2017 Ford F-250 is certainly not short on power. Under the hood, the F-250 is motivated by a standard 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking for more torque, you're covered by a turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel V-8 power plant that creates 440 horsepower and 925 pound-feet of torque.

Power finds its way to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-drive is available as an option. Properly equipped, the F-250 flexes its muscle, towing up to 18,000 pounds and hauling up to 4,200 pounds.
